Dark Side of the Moon
Sadness is the dark deprivation of the Moon
Watching the black sky before the Earth.
How full the celestial essence!
Joy rests lightly in the dew drop,
Adventuring from sunshine leaf
Home again
With stories of sea mist and cumulous,
Regaling master worm.
Iridescent dolphins sing from river waters,
Breathe deeply the life of the mountains, beets, and tree frog.
Breathe deeply the lavender sweet wine
Of giving thanks.
Grief is a mantis who has lost her prayer.
Despair, a butterfly with no one to kiss.
They mount around me, a cavalry of light whispering, “it’s alright.”
It’s alright.
Sadness is the dark deprivation of the Moon,
Watching the Black sky before the Earth,
The sun, proud father, smiles hello during eclipse,
His lips tickling lonely craters,
While Moon’s sister side shimmers black
And rings of fire.
